The Canon AE-1 is a classic 35mm film SLR camera that has been adored by photography enthusiasts for decades. This camera has a sleek (timeless one could say) and sturdy design with a black metal body and leather-textured accents. It features a bright and clear viewfinder that allows you to easily compose your shots, and the simple controls that help with learning how to meter scenes. The lens has an Auto mode for aperture, and the camera has a light meter, but the shutter speed is all manual (for automatic, see the also famous AE-1 Program)

Canon developed a light metering system that responded in milliseconds to the scene, using new technology for a well rounded accurate exposure. It is a fascinating design evolution if you are curious to learn more online.

The body is compatible with Canon FD lenses, letting you choose between many lens options if you need to build up a kit later. It also features a hot shoe for attaching an external flash and a self-timer for capturing self-portraits and group shots. This camera comes with a 50mm 1.8 Lens.

Conditions:

A Grade: an A Grade camera is in 91-99% of its original condition, with minimal marks and worn spots. Any small marks or dust buildups are not noticeable unless you very close. Lenses clean from any fog, fungus or debris. Viewfinders are clean and clear. (Near Mint/ Mint)

B grade: a B Grade camera is in 81-90% of its original condition, with some small marks and dust buildups. (Fantastic/Very Good)

C Grade: a C Grade camera is in 60-80% of its original condition and has noticeable marks, cuts, scrapes, and worn spots. This is typical of a camera that has been used a lot throughout the years. (Fair, Average)

All cameras, no matter the condition, have been professionally tested, cleaned, and restored. New seals are put in and cleaning/ lubrication is done. Condition grading is purely for aesthetics.
