Olympus Infinity Stylus Zoom | µ[mju:] |
Olympus Infinity Stylus Zoom | µ[mju:] |
Olympus µ[mju:] series was a wildly popular point and shoot design from olympus. They made 20,000,000 of them until ceasing production in 2004. There are a few different variations. The body is made almost entirely of a thick plastic, and features a sliding door, which exposes the lens and the flash.
(The us market labeled them as Infinity Stylus, whereas the rest of the markets were labeled with the mju.)
The camera is well designed, its compact and round body makes it easy to slip into a pocket or a small bag, the exterior can take a beating without affecting the functions of the camera.
The flash is strong for such a small camera, and comes with a fill in feature. The lens is a surprisingly sharp for a zoom lens. It has a 35-70mm zoom feature.
The camera uses a center weighted light reading and chooses exposure levels for the user. The results are pretty consistent offering quick well rounded images with even contrast.
The cameras light metering tends to side on the bright side if it can't find perfect exposure so scenes tend to come out always bright enough, but sometimes loosing detail in the highlights.
"For the money, this is still one of the best cameras you can have as a beginner or an avid photographer who needs a point-and-shoot in their collection"
Conditions:
Item Photographed is A Grade
A Grade: an A Grade camera is in 95-100% of its original condition, with minimal marks and worn spots. Any small marks are not noticeable unless you very close.(Near Mint/ Mint)**
B grade: a B Grade camera is in 85-95% of its original condition, with some small marks and dust buildups. (Fantastic/Very Good)
C Grade: a C Grade camera is in 60-85% of its original condition and has noticeable marks, cuts, scrapes, and worn spots. This is typical of a camera that has been used a lot throughout the years. (Fair, Average)
All cameras, no matter the condition, have been professionally tested, cleaned, and restored. New seals are put in and cleaning/ lubrication is done.
****Please note that these cameras were not made with scratch resistance plastic so any model that was actually used has everyday very tiny scratches across the plastic. Unless you find one BRAND new in box every model will have these. See photos.
