The third in the series of Contax TVS cameras. A high end consumer grade point & shoot with a stylish silver chrome body.
The TVS lens is sharp, high contrast, and has a top notch metering system. The photos this camera can take is nothing short of incredible for the size. The photos this produces is pretty similar to those of the TVII but with a little more contrast and pop in the colors.
The camera functions like most high end point and shoots do; autofocus / auto metering (with a lock mode for both), EV control, strong built in flash.
My favorite thing about these cameras is the Custom Function. You can read more about it on page 166 of the manual but in short there are 6 customizable buttons that will do special functions you choose; such as rewind with lead vs without, set auto focus vs spot focusing, set zoom to before it was shut off, etc. It is a really unique way to program exactly how you want to shoot into a point & shoot.
I highly recommend this camera for someone who wants a higher end photo out of their point & shoot. The photos are just beautiful and the design is sleek and compact. It has some of the best metering, lens, and electronics of any Contax designed.
